Hi! My name is Bridget and I'm the owner of Raven Wood and also the main trainer of the facility. I was born in Ireland and lived there all of my childhood. Ever since I was a young child, I've always loved horses. I've always had a special way with horses. I never really understood why, and the people around me never did either. When I was growing up, my mother used to tell me stories of her youth and the days of the champions. My grandfather owned world renowned Hanoverians and was a highly skilled equestrian. Much to his dismay, my mother never enjoyed the 4-legged creatures. But by the time I had come along, my grandfather had passed, along with his champion horses. The most prized stallion of my grandfather’s was a dappled grey stallion named, Conlaoch, according to my mother. I did extensive searches on the stallion named Conlaoch but I had no luck finding any information on him. When my mother passed away, I returned home from college to sort out all the family matters. I found a trunk in the attic full of my grandfather’s things. One was a photo of him and Conlaoch, the rest was newspaper clippings, sire and dam records, ribbons, everything to do with his Hanoverians. As I kept searching the trunk, I found a newspaper article about a deadly stable fire. Conlaoch was one of the victims. But as I continued reading it said there was hope, for there was a mare in foal to Conlaoch, from his one and only breeding. I became completely ecstatic; I had to find the foal and hope he or she was still around. A few years later I was able to find the son of Conlaoch right after he had passed on. The owners of him told me that he also had been bred once to their mare and the foal had been sold. They helped me track down the foal and with my grandfather and mother’s inheritance I was later able to obtained Killian, the grandson of Conlaoch. It was only about a year after I obtained Killian that I met my husband, Cael. Cael was a business major, heir to his father's cooperation. I didn't know much about him when we started dating other than he was rumored to be a player. We stayed together the remaining years of college and after graduation, Cael proposed to me! Being very much in love with him, the only answer for me was to say yes. We started out with a two stall barn and a two bedroom house as Cael learned the ins and outs of his father's cooperation. When his father opened a new facility, Cael couldn't refuse the promotion and we moved. Cael, knowing how much I wanted to continue my equestrian career and start a breeding program, bought a lavish piece of property and built my dream house and barn.

Aiden Murphy
Trainer/Stallion Manager
Aiden out in the pasture on LV Sunny Boy
Aiden Murphy is a young man I met at home in Ireland. He was the stablehand at the facility I was boarding Killian at. We became quick friends as he helped teach me a few things about horses I never knew. He showed me ways of earning a horse's trust on the ground before ever getting on their back. I had only been taught how to ride and how to ask for the horse's best performance. Aiden taught me how to "whisper" to Killian and ever since our bond has been stronger than ever. When Cael and I moved and I had just started running my stable, I offered Aiden the chance to come work for me as my trainer and stallion manager. He gladly accepted the offer and moved at once. Cael and I had plans for the stallion barn already but I felt more comfortable with someone on property, either living above the horses, or having a small cabin off to the side. Aiden's favorite horse right now is our own, LV Sunny Boy, aka Delta!
Fiona Jamison
Exercise Rider
Fiona on the trail with RWS Cold Hearted Princess
Fiona is Cael's younger sister. She just recently turned 18 and asked to come work at the farm with me. Her parents kicked her out as she is a young mother. Cael was not happy that his younger sister has already had a baby, and not married, but I took sympathy on her and told her she could come work for me. She's always loved horses and when I was in college dating Cael, I took Fiona out a few time to ride Killian. She lives in a small house down the road from our main facility. She had told me about a mare called Cold Hearted Princess (pictured left) back home in Ireland. Fiona had worked with the mare for a short amount of time and knew she had great potential. So with some connections from Cael, we imported the lovely Cold Hearted Princess here to our facility.
Natalie Neumann
Working Student
Natalie's first lesson on RWS Orange Blossom
Natalie is a working student from Germany. We met her when we were visiting the farm where we purchased our Bavarian Warmbloods. She didn't know much about horses but wanted to learn. We decided to let her come stay at our farm and help us with our Bavarian Warmbloods, knowing we were going to need extra help. She has proven to be a hard worker and loves just to groom and take care of the horses. Once the chores are done, we have her tack up one of the more experienced horses and give her a lesson. She's improving very quickly and before long she will be in the show ring!
